For a EUR 1 B, globally operating company in the sanitary business we led a number of Supply Chain change programs focused on improved product availability, reduced inventory and stabilisation of the Inbound Supply Chain from a large Chinese supplier base into 6 factories in Europe. During the program, Supply Chain integration through a Supplier web portal for all suppliers to the factories in EMEA was implemented, resulting in a 20% inventory reduction and a 25% improved product availability. For the China to Europe Supply Chain quality validation in China and a Europe based inbound distribution center for all China supplies were set up, eliminating factory downtime caused by inbound material shortages and quality issues. |
